Transit Engineering
DEA’s nationally recognized transit team has completed hundreds of successful transit projects of all sizes and for a variety of clients throughout the United States. Because public transit serves the community, decisions must be made locally within a framework that balances local, state, and federal requirements with project needs. When a rail project is approved for preliminary design, DEA experts understand and address preliminary design issues relevant to the specific project, and commit to the effort necessary to proceed. During final design, our professionals coordinate the resolution of issues while preparing detailed design documents that cover all aspects of civil, track, station, and surrounding area design. Then, during construction, DEA provides resident engineers, inspection, and construction phase design services. Our experience includes design-build, as well as traditional design-bid-build projects.
