Oquirrh 345/138 kV Substation

Location: West and South Jordan, Utah

DEA was contracted to expand an existing 345 kV/138 kV substation by adding eight breaker-and-a-half 345 kV bays, two 345/138kV transformers, a 345 kV SVC, six breaker-and-a-half 138 kV bays, and a 138 kV/25 kV distribution substation.

DEA’s role as the engineering design consultant included:

  • Erosion and sediment control design
  • Grading and drainage design
  • SWPPP development
  • Fence and gate design
  • Illumination design
  • Access road design
  • Oil containment
  • Landscape and irrigation design
  • Construction support/project management
  • Permitting support for local agency requirements
